audition

We got a phone call this afternoon that little nael has an audition on Sunday morning for a kids clothing company's catalog! Woohoo!!!! We're supposed to go up to Grand Lake this weekend but it looks like plans have changed. Anyhow, wish us luck, cross your fingers, find us a four-leaf clover, say a prayer...we'll keep you posted. If we don't get a call back by Wednesday next week, then, oh well!

mall crawler

Lately, little nael has been saying "mall" followed by "walk". We've been going to the mall these past couple weeks and little nael gets to walk around. In the past, she's usually strapped in a stroller, but she's found that it's a little more fun walking on her own and being free to roam the mall. She's also been on the carousel (at the mall) twice this past week, riding with MamaBelle and she just loves it!! She'd see the carousel from a distance and you can hear her say "may" which translates to "neigh" for horses.

Also, whenever we walk into Target, she'd say "cheese" which is what I usually give her whenever we are out grocery shopping. So she's learned to associate string cheese with Target!!!

The weather was really nice today, 74 degrees, and little nael had on a tshirt and capri pants. She definitely looked so grown up, not a little baby anymore (I'm still trying to figure out how she's grown so fast!). Anyhow, we went to the zoo today with PapaVen and MamaBelle. On our way there, little nael kept on saying "mall" and when we left the zoo, she said, yup, you guessed it, "mall".

Cake and blablabla

Last night while I was changing little nael's diaper and getting her ready for bed, little nael said "cake!" for the first time then followed saying "nonny" then "papa". In the past, we used the sign for cake whenever we saw one and little nael would always say"nonny", "papa" soon after to tell me that nonny baked a cake for papajohn on their last visit here in December... but I guess I was just surprised when she uttered the word cake. Her vocabulary continues to surprise me everyday. Dory has evolved to Dora and she is also now saying "Amy" instead of Mimi whenever we put a clip on her hair (Auntie Amy had given little nael 2 sets of barrettes in January).

Unfortunately, she still says "blablabla" for mamabelle.
