For little nael's 2nd birthday, we flew to LA and took her to Disneyland!! Snowboarder didn't think she'd enjoy it but she did!!! Little nael didn't really know any of the Disney characters but that didn't stop her from having fun. Our first stop/ride was the train (which nael LOVES) around the park which gave her a glimpse of what the park had to offer. The train made several stops, the engineer rang the bell and we even went through a tunnel where we saw "saurs" (dinosaurs) as nael calls them. I think nael was having fun with just the train ride alone and our adventure hadn't even started yet. Then we strolled along and little nael met Pluto. She wasn't scared at all and even gave Pluto a hug...then we ventured off to Fantasyland, walking through the castle and stopping at the carousel. Nael loves the carousel and of course, she had to take a ride so snowboarder came along with her while I took a video of them bonding. Nael's next ride was Dumbo. The line was quite long but we were in no hurry so after 30 minutes or so of waiting, the three of us were finally able to plop ourselves into one of those Dumbo flying elephants. Nael had a blast and had fun maneuvering the joystick up and down, up and down, up and down...As we headed to our next stop, we realized that the parade was going to start within 10 minutes as everyone started to find a place to watch/sit. So we found our spot, nael sat on snowboarder's shoulders and soon the parade started. The dancers spun around to the music and the floats followed on with different characters singing to a certain theme. There was Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid and Toy Story to name a few and, of course, the finale, Mickey and Minnie! What a great way to see most, if not all, of the Disney characters in one place.
Next stop was Toon Town where we stopped for a quick bite and nael was able to run around the playground, the treehouse, the boat and through Mickey's house where she sat on his chair, checked out his laundry and watched a bunny grab the carrots from Mickey's garden! At this point, we've been at the park for over 3 hours already and so we decided that It's a small world would be the last stop. The line moved quickly and in no time we were on the boat and Nael was mesmerized with everything...the music, the dancing dolls, animals, the water, etc.
As we made our way back towards the exit, we were lucky enough to see Mickey and Minnie posing for photo ops. I stood in line, and we were able to get a family photo with the famous couple, with nael trying to squeeze Mickey's nose!

nael had an adventure and so did I...as for snowboarder??? hmmmm, I have yet to find out.
nael still talks about Dumbo, and the carousel, the train ride, the stroll through Mickey's house, his laundry and the carrots in his garden...and she likes to hear snowboarder sing "It's a small world" while she tries to sing along.
