potty

little nael pee'd in the potty for the first time today with snowboarder! how exciting...we're on a mission to get her potty trained before November so snowboarder has taken the initiative to get her started and, to our surprise, she's pee'd already!!! Her reward? a Mickey Mouse sticker on her arm which she loves.

martha's vineyard

We just got back a few days ago from a week long trip to Martha's Vineyard. We've never been and we had to go to a wedding there so we decided to turn the trip into a mini vacation. We met up with snowboarder's parents which worked out for us since they were able to babysit little nael while we attended the wedding. We took a ferry from Woods Hole to Vineyard Haven and little nael was excited to get on a boat along with her grandparents.

We rented a house in the Lower Makonikey area which had access to a small private beach and we spent the week just relaxing and enjoying the weather even when it rained one day.

jelly on my belly!

Little nael has been going with me to the doctor and has been quite a helper! Today she helped Dr. Christee with the doppler to listen to the baby's heartbeat and she thought it was fun! Dr. C was guiding little nael's hand with the doppler and a little gel on my belly. We heard the heartbeat! When snowboarder came home, little nael told him that Mama had jelly on her belly and that she was helping Dr. Christee! When snowboarder asked why Mama had jelly in her belly, little nael exclaimed, "hear baby's hearbeat!"

Big sister

Snowboarder's sister, Liz and family are in town visiting and little nael has been having such a wonderful time with them! They've been here for the last 5 days and little nael is constantly saying "Aunt Elizabeth" and "Uncle John", "come here", "read book". Her cousin, Teddy is only 6 months old and little nael has been helping around with feeding and bathing him. She's such a little helper. We had bought him a toy before they arrived and she could not wait to give it to him. She happily shares everything she has with him...toys, books, her spoon and pig plate. She will definitely be a good big sister when our next one comes along in December!
