little traveler is a talker

We just received nael's passport in the mail today! yippee! omigosh, I feel like she is now officially an adult...passport and all! now we just have to plan a trip somewhere! If only I can convince snowboarder to go to Venice and I mean, Venice, Italy not Venice Beach, CA!!!

We were in Las Vegas and California last week and went to the LA Zoo with Joey, PapaVen and blablabla (that's nael's version of mamabelle!). It's been over a week but nael still says zoo, joooey, papa and blablabla! So she has a great memory. We also went to the local zoo 2 days ago with a bunch of other moms and babes and rode the carousel. One of the other kids Allie, who is just a few months older than nael, was there too and when I told nael that we were going to see Allie later in the day, she started saying something like "arrie" or "harry". At first, I didn't understand who harry was but when we were on our way to the zoo, I finally realized nael was saying "allie". So, after the zoo, on the way home, it was "arrie...arrie...arrie".

Yesterday, nael and I babysat and played with Taylor who just turned a year old a few weeks ago. So, nael learned to say "tay-low" yesterday...and for some reason also kept saying "debbie". We do know a mom named Debbie but I wonder why she said debbie yesterday. Anyhow, right after I changed Taylor's diaper, the dirty diaper accidentally fell off the changing table right into the trash and my immediate reaction was "shoot!" which of course, nael repeated a few seconds later!

We definitely have a talker in our hands....

p.s. in the morning, her sweet words are "dee-dee, elmo and yummy (for cookie monster) alternately with "dory, dory, dory"...that's for Dora the Explorer
